BREAKING: REAL LEADER! Gov. Gavin Newsom eats Trump’s lunch by signing
a historic executive order aimed at creating an “AI kill switch” and fast-tracking regulation as experts warn of apocalyptic doom.

“The federal government’s abject failure to create any form of meaningful
AI oversight or accountability should alarm every American, especially when AI CEOs themselves are begging for regulation,” Newsom stated.
Last weekend, CEOs of several major American AI companies publicly called for the federal government to step in and slow AI development out of fear that the technology is growing too dangerous.
While some critics have suggested that the announcement is actually a clever attempt to conjure an excuse for slowing growth, we can’t afford to ignore it.
The government absolutely must regulate AI but Trump slammed the suggestion and decried the existence of a “SICK conspiracy going on against AI and Data Centers.
” This man is, not surprisingly, prioritizing corporate profits and short-term stock market gains over the long-term survival of our civilization.
“We’re not waiting to act – we’re going to speed up our work on substantial and responsible AI oversight before it’s too late,” Newsom added.
The new order will convene “a group of world-leading experts” within two months.
They’ll be tasked with drafting possible proposals for “requiring independent third parties to write safety plans for frontier
AI companies, as well as requiring companies to develop an emergency shutoff, or ‘kill switch,’ for frontier models.”
“California wants to create the standards in this space,” Newsom said in a video posted to X.
He explained that the plan is to implement “mandatory reporting of incidents like the hugging face hack and advancing efforts to create an emergency shutoff,
otherwise known as an AI kill switch, which means a lot of things depending on who you talk to.”
“So we want to flesh out exactly what that means and how to come up with a framework that works,” Newsom added.
“Washington, D.C. needs to do its job,” he continued. “Remarkably, they left for a summer break. Mike Johnson should return from vacation and follow California’s lead by passing national legislation. Get it done.”
“That’s what leadership requires, setting a comprehensive safety framework as a floor.
It’s the minimum thing we should expect that he and his colleagues do.
Our model, California model, works. And if Congress again won’t act, California will.”
This is exactly the kind of thing that enrages the MAGA crowd.
They love to attack California and smear it as some kind of failed state but consistently, it’s California that steps forward to pave the way toward a brighter future for this country.
